the nitty  gritty

How do I book an appointment?

All in studio makeup and micropigmentation appointments must be requested through my online booking platform here. New clients will be asked to fill out a series of forms, place a card on file, and submit pictures of their brows (if requesting micropigmentation). Once completed, you will see that the appointment has been requested. After I review all the information provided, I will then go in and accept the appointment. Please make sure to complete the forms as quickly as possible. to avoid having your appointment request denied. I will make every effort to accept or respond to all inquiries within 48 hours.

Reschedules & Cancellations

I understand that life happens, and I will always try my very best to accommodate clients. That being said, I ask that you please reach out ASAP with any changes that need to be made to your appointment. Once an appointment has been made, I require all rescheduling or cancellations to be made a minimum of 24 hours before your appointment. Late reschedules or cancellations will be charged the FULL-service amount.

No Shows

Any client that fails to show for their appointment will be responsible for the full-service amount and the card on file will be charged. Please use your correct contact information when booking to ensure that you don't inadvertently miss your appointment. Text messages and email reminders are sent directly to the contact information provided regarding your services.

Bringing Guests or children

All micropigmentation clients must come alone to their appointment. I understand that you may be nervous and want someone to accompany you for support, however; I ask that they please stay home. Micropigmentation requires a lot of focus on my end and for you to remain quiet at times throughout the service. Unfortunately, having a guest can be very distracting to me, which can result in an inability to produce my best work.

Under no circumstance are children allowed to attend micropigmentation appoints. This is both for safety purposes and is mandated by my insurance company. Please find child care prior to your appointment.

Right to refuse service

While never my intention, I reserve the right to refuse service for any reason, including, but not limited to the following reasons:

  • Undisclosed medical/skin condition (including sunburn/suntan)

  • Under the influence of drugs or alcohol

  • Any client deemed inappropriate for safety reasons

  • Any behavior that might compromise my ability to work safely and comfortably toward the desired results, or might disrupt other clients

Previously Done Work

Clients acknowledge that if they have had previously done Micropigmentation (Cosmetic Tattoo, Microblading, etc.) prior to booking they must email pictures to makeupkerstin@gmail.com. Pigment needs to be faded significantly before they can be done again to have the best possible outcome. Pigment must be about 80% faded before booking an initial appointment. If technician is unable to achieve your goal for your brows with the existing work, she can provide recommendations on how to help the ink fade. Makeup by Kerstin LLC has the right to refuse service for those who show up with previous undisclosed work. These clients are responsible for the full-service amount and the card on file will be charged.
